4-Ingredient Lip Balm

I'm always looking for ways to eliminate personal care products from my shopping list, so learning how simple it is to whip up a batch of organic and nutrient-rich lip balm with my in-house supply of base oils and butters and my trusted essential oils, made me super excited to share!
This is by far my favorite recipe for lip balm. The moisturizing and soothing benefits of these ingredients are off the charts and the flavor combo of Citrus Fresh Essential Oil blend and Spearmint Single Oil are totally delicious, not to mention, packed full of antioxidants and benefits that only 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade botanical oils can provide.

Ingredients:
3 Tbsp Organic Beeswax Pellets (I prefer Better Shea Butter brand)
1/4 cup Organic Mango Butter (again, Better Shea Butter is my preferred supplier)
1/4 cup Unrefined and Organice, Cold-Pressed, Coconut Oil (Carrington Farms and/or Island Fresh are brands I commonly use)
Young Living Essential Oils: You can choose from a variety of essential oils, especially from the Vitality Line (essential oils labeled as dietary supplements), but I find the combination of citrus and mint to be my personal favorite: 20 drops Citrus Fresh + 15 drops Spearmint essential oils.
Yields: 8 1/2 oz lip balm tins (buy the tins with the screw top lids)

Directions:
Melt the first three ingredients in a glass measuring cup (a cup with a spout will be much easier to use when filling your tins or tubes) in a pot of boiling water or a double boiler. Heat until all three ingredients are completely liquefied. Carefully remove the measuring cup from the boiling water and add the essential oils. Stir thoroughly and pour the mixture into the lip balm tins. Allow to cool and set for at least 10 minutes! Enjoy :)

**I choose to use metal or glass vessels when making DIY products with citrus oils. Citrus oils can break down the chemicals in plastic containers and I don't want to consume any synthetic or toxic chemicals.
